Schools

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools offers a broad number of school options.  Neighborhood schools for Radbourne are Mallard Creek Elementary School, Ridge Road Middle School, and Mallard Creek High School.  Other schools available within the CMS system include schools with a signature theme or program including entrepreneurship; middle and early college; International Baccalaureate; world languages and language immersion; science, technology, engineering, and math; visual and performing arts; and military, global leadership and public safety.  Each option focuses on ensuring students are prepared for college and a career while exposing students to different learning approaches, leadership preparation, and engaging curriculum.

Guidepost Montessori Prosperity is a welcoming, diverse community in a thriving corner of Charlotte, North Carolina. Our campus is located on expansive grounds, with plenty of room for children to spread out and explore. Our families from all around the globe are representative of the vibrant neighborhood surrounding our school. Central Piedmont Community College has been a part of the Charlotte landscape for over fifty years. Two CPCC campuses are close to Radbourne. The Cato campus, east on WT Harris, provides college transfer, college and career readiness, and corporate and continuing education classes. The student population ranges from high school to adult learners and boasts many diverse backgrounds including non-native English speakers and career professionals.  Cato Campus is home to Cato Middle College High School (CMCHS), CMS’s first Middle College program. The Merancas campus, located north of Radbourne, is home to Public Safety and Transportation System Technologies programs, and also provides college preparatory, GED and college transfer classes, as well as corporate and continuing education training.

UNC Charlotte

UNC Charlotte is the region’s pre-eminent research university.  Located on a beautiful 1,000-acre campus, UNC Charlotte is the UNC system’s fourth largest and fastest growing campus. UNC Charlotte leverages its location in the state’s largest city to offer internationally competitive programs of research and creative activity, exemplary undergraduate, graduate and professional programs, and a focused set of community engagement initiatives.
